One last ride

CONNY HÜTTER EMBARKS ON HER FINAL WORLD CUP SEASON

She is Austria’s speed queen and, together with the Original Kornspitz at her side, is likely entering the most emotional season of her career. Ahead of her last World Cup season, Conny Hütter talks about tough preparation, her goals, and why local baked goods are part of her racing routine even abroad.

Bronze in the Super-G at the 2023 Ski World Championships in Courchevel, overall World Cup victory in the downhill season 2023/24, bronze at the Olympics 2026: Conny Hütter’s list of achievements is impressive. Until May, she left open whether she would continue in the coming season, but at a specially convened press conference in Graz, she confirmed her start in the 2026/27 season. It will be her 15th and final World Cup season. The goals remain ambitious: she hopes to bid farewell with a success at the Alpine Ski World Championships in Crans-Montana – a place closely linked to her career.

Full power for the final turns

A well-thought-out preparation is the basis for many successes. "I go into training and daily preparation full of motivation and energy. Right now, I’m spending a lot of time on the bike, pushing my endurance to the limit. Knowing it’s my last season gives me even more motivation, which I’ll definitely need during the incredibly tough strength sessions," emphasises Hütter. Even in her last year, she leaves nothing to chance.
On the contrary: the impending farewell seems to spur her on even more.

A closing circle in Crans-Montana

Sportingly, the Styrian has set clear goals: "I do think I’ll be able to compete at the top until the end and, if all goes well, win. That’s definitely my own expectation. As for Crans-Montana, it’s a place where a circle closes for me, comparable to a rollercoaster. From my first major successes to a serious crash, I hope to leave this venue again with a career highlight."

It’s this special connection to Crans-Montana that gives the upcoming World Championships a unique significance – both as a sporting highlight and as the personal conclusion to an incredible career.

Experience instead of experiments

After 14 years in the World Cup, Hütter knows exactly what matters. Instead of new experiments, she is consciously relying on what has proven itself in her final season. "I’m now entering my 15th World Cup season and can draw on a lot of experience and knowledge in the crucial areas. How should I structure my training, how intense should it be, what does my body need, and what should I avoid? Being able to rely on this experience is a valuable asset I can now use at the end of my career – there are no risky experiments anymore," says the 33-year-old.

Original Kornspitz as a piece of home

Experiments are also taboo in nutrition for Conny Hütter. As the face of Alpine bread and with the Original Kornspitz as a reliable partner, she explains why these products are essential on every trip: "Eating consciously and nutritiously is one of my principles. I don’t do anything complicated. Alpine bread or an Kornspitz® fit perfectly into my diet, just like Styrian pumpkin seed oil. Having local products with me at races abroad is wonderful and reminds me every day of home and the excellent quality of our products."

It’s precisely this combination of top-level sport and down-to-earth, local quality that characterises the Kornspitz Sport Team. Austria’s crunchiest ambassador accompanies athletes in both grassroots and elite sport, and with Conny Hütter, a flagship of Austrian winter sports.

Conny Hütter is an icon in Austrian winter sports; her achievements speak for themselves.
With her likeable and authentic personality, she fits perfectly into our Kornspitz Sport Team.

We are very pleased that she will compete again next season and are convinced she will make her mark at the Ski World Championships!
