Shining a new light on cakes

backaldrin extends its repertoire of fine baked goods and brings a fresh shine to new cake creations. Using tried and tested backaldrin products, like Viennese CakeMix and Sahnissimo®, the versatile recipe ideas offer a treat for any occasion.

Variations made with backaldrin classics like Viennese CakeMix, Viennese SacherMix and BrownieMix, range from simple sheet cakes to unusual tortes. The Mirror Glaze style lends an appearance of extravagance: the glassy glazes are not only trendy but also easy to make, using Sahnissimo® by backaldrin. With Mirror Glaze, the Blueberry Mirror and Magic Mint are transformed into absolute eye-catchers. Magic Mint combines chocolate with refreshing peppermint while the Blueberry Mirror – both as a cake and as a slice – seduces the senses with its curd-cream filling and fruity blueberries.

backaldrin also presents many more ideas in a new recipe folder. The Brownie Cheesecake unites the classic brownie and American Cheesecake in a well-balanced taste experience, and the chocolate-coconut flavour of the South Seas Slice will quickly have you thinking of palm trees and white, sandy beaches. The flair of the Caribbean Dream, with its chocolate-apple base and nut mousse is totally captivating, while the pistachio layer and pistachio-sesame sprinkling of the Oriental Pearl will transport you to the world of One Thousand and One Nights. Fitting for the coming season, the Wintry Red Wine Cake, made with Spelt GingerbreadMix, walnuts and almonds, evokes thoughts of cozy evenings in front of the fireplace.

In addition, backaldrin’s recently developed base ingredient for American Cookies can be used in two basic recipes to create the most diverse ideas. At the Südback, backaldrin confectioners will present “Steirer Cookies” with pumpkin seeds, “Vital Cookies” for the nutrition-conscious and classic “Chocolate Cookies” for all chocolate lovers.
