As part of his visit to Upper Austria, Alan Winde, Premier of the Western Cape province of South Africa, toured the backaldrin headquarters in Asten. 

During a meeting with backaldrin General Director Harald Deller and Managing Director Wolfgang Mayer, they discussed opportunities and perspectives for young people in the bakery sector as a whole - a topic of great importance in both South Africa and Austria. 

Our colleague Juli Jackson, herself originally from South Africa and now at home in Upper Austria, then guided the delegation through the PANEUM - Wunderkammer of Bread. It was a culturally enriching encounter that highlighted the international and diverse nature of the world of bread.
