In 2006, purple wheat was rediscovered. At the iba, that same year, backaldrin presented its new PurPur® range, which has continued to enjoy great popularity ever since.
Bread and rolls with PurPur® are characterised not only by their unique flavour, long fresh-keeping and exceptional colour, but also by their beneficial ingredients. Purple wheat contains a higher percentage of anthocyanins than conventional wheat.
