backaldrin is the leading manufacturer of baking products in Austria, and operates successfully in more than 90 countries worldwide. Founded in 1964, the company is 100% family owned, and is managed by its owner. In the baking world, backaldrin is well known as the inventor of the Kornspitz grain roll, the most successful brand-name roll in Europe. The headquarters of backaldrin featuring its House of Bread are located in Asten near Linz.backaldrin offers more than 400 products to commercial and industrial bakeries all over the world. The product line consists of high value wheat and bread baking products, sourdoughs, special premixes for bread, rolls, pastries and cakes, bread spices as well as flavours and fillings, many of which also exist as organic products. Baking products and the broad-based assortment of backaldrin products are manufactured in Asten near Linz, Austria, and have also been produced in the Jordanian capital of Amman since 2006. The latter facility supplies the Arab World and African markets. backaldrin also offers its customers an All-Around Service, a one-stop, all inclusive, comprehensive series of services ranging from product development and sales support to trainings. backaldrin customers also profit from successful brands such as the grain roll Kornspitz® and PURPUR® (purple wheat).
backaldrin is represented in more than 90 countries worldwide, in 16 of which with its own subsidiaries. In addition to its production sites in Austria and Jordan, the company has set up its own subsidiaries in Belarus, Brazil, Bulgaria, China, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, Sweden, Russia, Turkey and Ukraine. In all other markets, backaldrin works together with sales partners. The baking products specialist employs about 600 people around the world.
